My name is Andy, and I'm an Australian who, from a young age, decided to leave behind the conventional lifestyle to follow my passion for traveling and exploring the world.After years of adventures across different continents, I found my home in Bogotá, Colombia, specifically in the charming neighborhood of La Candelaria.
My story begins on the roads of Australia
There I grew up with a desire to discover new places and meet people from different cultures. I traveled through Asia, Europe, and the Americas, always with my backpack and a heart full of curiosity. But it was in Colombia where I found a place that made me feel at home. The warmth of its people, the beauty of its landscapes, and the vibrant energy of its cities captivated me.
I discovered Bogotá...
And I decided to create a place where travelers could feel at home, a place
that combined Colombian hospitality with the adventurous spirit that had brought me to this country.
Thus was born The Cranky Croc Hostel, a refuge in the heart of La Candelaria, where every corner tells a story and every room is a reflection of my love for this country.
